Multiple Posts Pages|One Category Per page

I am using the twenty ten theme and would like for my category pages to look exactly like the posts page that was selected from the ‘appearances’/’reading’/static posts page option.

For example, I have a page with people that displays all the people in the staff category. I want a separate category, for example, collaborators, to be display in the same manner as the people page. I know that this is done within the loop, but have delved into forums for days and couldn’t come up with a simple solution.

Also, when I select the ‘people’ page from the drop down menu for static posts page, it displays all the posts for the entire website. So, I want to be able to exclude all categories except the ‘staff’ category for that page.

I tried to just use the category option from the appearances/menu; however, I am back to the initial problem of how the page is displayed.

Thanks to anyone who can assist.
