 * Is it possible to have more than one plugin directory for a single install? I
want a centralized plugin directory to share plugins we develop for the organization
and the many WP installs we have but I want each install (networks and stand
alones) to have their own plugins too. Can it be done?

 * Not without some major hacking!
 * Single installations run on a single plugins folder. It’s only when you move
to a network setup that you have another plugins folder available that forces
all plugins to be network activated.

 * Thanks for the reply. That’s what I thought. I’ll see if there’s another way
   to attack the problem.
