Multiple [pets_archive]s on one page

I would like to show multiple subselections of pet archives on a single page. For example, after heading show the dogs that have been reserved but not yet adopted, then another heading, followed by an archive with all the dogs that have already been adopted. I basically use these two shortcodes on one page, which individually work great, but together show all dogs below each other instead of on a grid with three in a row. Any idea what’s causing this?
