Once I successfully checkout using a credit card and tried again using the same credit card, it is not allowing us to complete the checkout process( It says Please try another payment method ). It is allowing only after removing that details from the vault of the Braintree payment gateway. Is this for security reasons or issues?

We were trying to Preorder the product and got those issues.

    Thanks!

    Hey @ishor,

Thanks for writing to us about our plugin! I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I’m sorry to hear that the payment attempts aren’t working as expected. I’d be happy to help out here. 🙂

I’d love to get a better idea of the particular errors that are occurring when attempting a payment through Braintree on your site. Would you please take a look at the orders that were generated from your tests and share with me any related messages you see in the order notes section? These might give us a bit of insight on what could be causing the failures.

    Thanks,

    Tamara

Can you please take a look on the screenshot attached below.

After deleting that user’s details from the vault( Braintree payment gateway ) we are able to proceed with the checkout process. Did we miss something?

    Thanks!

    Hey @ishor,

Thanks so much for the screenshot and the additional details! It sounds like Braintree may have run into issues finding or updating the customer in the Braintree vault.

I’d love to learn a bit more about the specifics here as it could be that another user account was already tied to the Braintree vault user with the same credit card number or maybe email address. Were you logged in as a specific user or browsing your site as a guest at the time of the test? Do you have any other user accounts on your site using the same credit card number or email address entered at the time of checkout?

    Thanks,
    Tamara

Yes, We got registered while buying a product and we tried to buy other products using the same details ( email, name, address ) but stuck on the checkout process. Then we got help from support team of Preorder Plugin that suggests us to delete that user from the vault would help to resolve the issue. We followed that and it worked. I am worried why the same user is unable to buy the product a couple of times?

The users were trying to preorder the product.

    Thanks!

    Hey @ishor,

Thanks so much for the added details! Would you please confirm if you were logged in with the same user account when processing both transactions with the same customer details or did you use a different user account the second attempt?

If you’d prefer, please feel free to contact support through our site where you can also send us admin access to your site so we can have a closer look into the issue for you.

    Cheers,
    Tamara

We tried without login because the user registered with that email address was already deleted from the dashboard. We used the details to complete the checkout process as a guest user.

    Thanks!

    Hey @ishor,

Thanks so much for confirming that for me! It looks like you opened a request in our help desk and I’ve sent a reply there as it will me allow to get some additional details about your site such as transaction logs.

Since we’re moving this to our help desk I’m going to mark this thread as resolved but please let me know if you are having issues communicating with us through email.

    Thanks!

    Thanks,
