    Jack,

Hope all is well. You may recall that I came from PSN and one feature they have is the concept of pre-states. Thus, a rule in PSN might say essentially send a notification to the editor of a Pending post, BUT only if the state prior to that was Draft.

This is how it prevents getting multiple notifications for multiple updates while in Pending status.

You mentioned that, by default, BNWP won’t send duplicate notifications.

Tonight I submitted my first true post from draft to pending so that the editor could do his magic. As expected, I got the notification and it looked great.

I then noticed there was something wrong with an image in the editor window so I removed the image and then put in a new image. I once again hit the “Save as Pending” button to save the update. I then got a second notification of a pending post. Uh oh.

I then realized I’d forgotten to add a necessary explanation to the post and edited that, hit “Save as Pending” and got a third notification.

This will drive my editor to drink if I can’t find a solution to it. <grin>

    Any ideas?

    Hi Agrajag27,
    Thanks for your message.

You’re right – this currently does happen however, the next version of the plugin should have a ‘Notify Only Once’ feature that prevents these kinds of occurrences from happening, providing the corresponding checkbox is ticked when creating the notification.

Hope this helps and is the feature you’re looking for.

Sounds just like it. Here’s hoping it’s not too far off.

    Thanks.
