Hi @pha2022,
you are right, at the moment this is a bit silly. What you are saying is correct, you can put two (or more) directories on the same page but the search is the same.
I think I can improve this and I will work on that. I do have to check the ‘jump to’ bit though. If you keep an eye on the updates (or just update the plugin), it will come available in a few days I think.
Thanks for using my plugin and sharing your thoughts!
Kind regards,
Jeroen Peters
Thanks for the prompt response. My staff was very happy with your plugin – it let them clean up a couple of problems we’ve never been able to resolve. Looking forward to the update.
Hi @pha2022,
you are welcome! I just released version 1.25.0, which will address this issue.
If you and/or your staff like this plugin, I would love it if you would write a review about the plugin, so other potential users can read about your experiences 🙂
I hope this new version works well for you, I’d be glad to know!
Kind regards,
Jeroen Peters
I tried the new version and we are still having some problems with multiple lists on a single page.
When a user clicks on a letter to search in one list, all of the other lists perform the search/filter too. And focus shifts to the top of the page.
When a user performs a search in a list, only that list performs the search, but focus still shifts to the top of the page.
I did a screen capture video of these problems – you can watch at https://www.screencast.com/t/sMNQ5MoOhw
Thanks @pha2022, I tested it with just the searchfunctionality, I will edit it tonight 🙂 I am on my dayjob at the moment.
Kind regards,
Jeroen Peters
Thanks @pha2022 for making that screencast and taking the time to point out what you mean. This helps me! Also thanks for your kinds words.
I am not able to make a new version this night (it’s already after midnight here in the Netherlands), but I do see how I can fix it.
Also, I am wondering if you have enabled the per-directory-setting “Jump to Name Directory when searching”? This should take care of the jump-to-top-focus.
By default it isn’t enabled (which I might reconsider).
I hope this will help on jumping. Would you let me know?
Kind regards,
Jeroen Peters
Okay, I did manage to release v1.25.1
On my testing environment this works, I hope it will work for you too @pha2022
I’m curious for your findings and feedback.
Kind regards,
Jeroen Peters
Thank you for reminding me about the JUMP setting. I had set that to NO when I was testing alternate formats. I have set all of the directories to YES and they all work as expected. Thank you.
And the revised plugin does work for us in our production environment. Thanks again.
Great! I am glad to hear that @pha2022!
If you don’t mind I think I will add your website to the list of demo’s.
And if you like the plugin like this, would you please consider writing a review?
Thanks again for using the plugin 🙂
Kind regards,
Jeroen Peters
@pha2022 I am not sure but I think you also made a donation, thank you very very much!!
