Multiple installs same database tables

What i would pretty much like to do is take one site, copy it and have it on a different part of the same website. I know everything is stored in the options table, but how could i copy that table edit the values and make the second install use that table? because without doing that it works fine other than the fact that if i change something in the admincp it changes it on both, can someone tell me where i would change the values of what table the options load from? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
