# Multiple images created

 * Smush It 1.6.5.4 is working but I find 4 versions of each image created in the
   database – each one is a different file size – as though the plugin carries out
   several iterations. All have the same time of creation. Is there a setting to
   prevent this?

 * Thanks for your question! Hmm, is it only when you have the plugin activated 
   that you’re seeing those image versions?
 * I suspect those are the typical thumbnail variations, but just wanted to check.

 * This morning I did my regular posting and intended to turn off the plugin before
   I published. However, when I checked the upload files the 4 versions of each 
   image were already present. Tomorrow I will turn off Smushit before I post, and
   let you know.
 * The images could well be thumbnails: the sizes are 1) the original file size 
   2) 300 x XXX (varies) 3) 150 x 150 and 4) 50 x 50.
 * I have checked back in last year’s images (before I installed Smushit) and this
   did not happen.
