• Hi,
On occasions I get multiple hits on a post from the same visitor. Today I had 280 hits on a single picture from the same person. My stats show that this had taken over one hour to accomplish. Perhaps there is a simple explanation, however I would like to get to the bottom of it.
    Regards Alistair

Anytime anyone views the hot-linked image on the other site, your site takes a hit. You might grab the ip from your log and research it to see if you can find a stolen image.

Thanks James, I did find the ip address and which area the person lives. Not sure how to proceed further. Alistair

If it’s a case of someone using your image, the ip address might belong to their web site. You can go here – webyield.net/domainquery.html – and put the ip address in the field next to “Resolve IP Address”, and it might tell you the domain name of the site. Then you might be able to take a look for your content.

You can also block the address from visiting your site using your .htaccess file.

Thanks James, I will mark this as resolved
