I get warnings that with this theme we have multiple H1 tags on each title. Bing warns it is a severe issue. How do I delete unnecessary H1 tags?

Why should you listen to Bing when Google says the opposite?

You tell me. I’m a bit frustrated with Bing right now. They won’t display my website in a search even with the full url but they email me every day to advertise on Bing. I’ve submitted sitemaps, registered URL’s, everything they’ve asked.

This change will require a Child Theme, best to start creating that first: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

If you’d like to change the h1 tags on the blog/archive pages to h2 tags, you can do so by:

    1. Downloading an empty Ignite child theme
    2. Copying the content.php file from Ignite to the child theme
    3. Changing the <h1> tag on line 101 to an <h2> tag

Once this is complete, upload and activate the child theme on your site, and the changes will take place immediately.
