    Hi there,

I have an issue with WP recipe maker.
I am currently using it on my website, which contains both recipes and non-recipes posts. For some of my posts (like the one I linked in this thread), when I test the link in google structured data, I notice that I have two schema_types:

    – Blog Post, which is okay, as I defined it through this review plugin
    – Recipe, which I didn’t define in this post. The only way for me to have a Recipe schema is through your plugin, and you will notice that I don’t have a recipe card in that post.

Can you please help? Google keeps sending me errors regarding my pages.

    All the best,

additional info: I just made more tests and it seems the additional ‘Recipe’ schema comes from one of my posts in the related posts section. That post has a Recipe card created with your theme.

Is there a way to only take into account WP recipe maker’ structured data within the post(if any)? Thank you for your help,

I’m not seeing any related posts or recipe metadata for that page, but maybe you got rid of that by now?

I don’t see how a related post would cause recipe metadata to show up but you could try changing the “Output Recipe Metadata” setting on the WP Recipe Maker > Settings > Recipe Metadata page and see if that changes anything.

Make sure to clear any cache before testing.

    Hi Brecht,

My bad! While testing I forgot to put back the ‘related post’ section. I put it back, and now you can see the problem.
    I purged the cache too.

Thank in advance you for your help!

This metadata is not added by our plugin. It uses some fields that we never add for our recipe metadata (for example: we don’t specify bestRating and worstRating as these are just the defaults).

Do you still see that metadata if you temporarily deactivate WP Recipe Maker?

It could be added by your theme or another plugin.
