Hello, I’ve just installed your plugin version 6.0, I’d like to mention that this update seems to be one of the easiest and the prettiest mailchimp plugins I’ve seen so far πŸ™‚
Seems like there’re some issues, however… If I add more than 2 signup forms on one page, they stop working and display message “Please provide valid email address”. Though the address is correct. Two forms per page work together like charm. Could you please advise what could be done to solve this? Thanks

    Hi Gella2002,

Thank you for the kind words regarding the re-write! We have certainly put a good deal of time into making it one of the best MailChimp plugins on the market. We have some big plans for it, so we’re very glad to hear you’re enjoying it so far.

In regards to your issue, it sounds like the issue only occurs when 3 or more forms are displayed on a single page. Is that correct? Also, are each of your forms setup to submit data via ajax? You can toggle this setting from with in the opt-in settings in the sidebar of the edit forms page.

After I hear back I’ll do some testing for you and see what the issue may be. We are going to be working hard through the weekend to get things packaged for launch on Monday, October 5th.

    Thanks again,
    Evan

Also, I can’t find how to remove the link “Edit Form” on the form. It’s always there, even if user isn’t logged in.

The edit form link should only be there when the user is logged in, and is an admin. I have tested this, and can confirm that it is working as intended.

Do you have a link to the form on your site for inspection?

    Thanks,
    Evan

Hello Evan, thank you for your reply! Yes, this is correct that the issue occurs if we have 3 or more forms on single page. Each of them are setup via ajax. I have Avada theme if this is important.

    Hi,

No problem at all. I’ll setup a test environment and see what might be going on. In regards to the edit form link below each form – I’m not seeing that on my end. YOu may want to try opening up the page in private browser/incognito mode depending on which browser your in to simulate a non-logged in user.

Forget about “edit form” link πŸ™‚ sorry for bothering about that. Everything is fine now – no link πŸ™‚

Awesome, I’m glad that wasn’t an issue after all.

I’m going to look into the the issue with 3 or more forms on a single page. Ideally, want this working for launch.

When I get things up and can test it out a bit, I will report back here. It will most likely be before the days end.

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hi Gella2002,

Are all of the forms linking to the same mailing list? Or do they link to separate lists?

    Thanks,
    Evan

    Hi again Gella2002,

I seem to have found the culprit. The last form on the page (whichever that may be) was being referenced as the submitted form. If you filled out the email address field in the last form, but don’t submit that form, and then fill out the email address in the first form and submit that you’ll see over on your mailing list that the last form email address is what was being sent over.

So that being said, if you didn’t fill out the last email address no email was being sent thus why the error was being returned.

I’ve since gone ahead and made the necessary updates, and pushed out an update to our GitHub repo. You can download that version directly from the following url:
    https://cloudup.com/files/irGHmsXTszK/download

Go ahead and download that and overwrite the current version you have on your site and things should work without any issue.

If things do work, and you’re enjoying the plugin we would love to hear about it in the reviews πŸ™‚

Thank you Evan! How should I overwrite the current version if I don’t want to delete the current settings?

    (@eherman24)

    Hi Gella,

Do you have access to the site via FTP? If so you can just overwrite the files in the current ‘yikes-inc-easy-mailchimp-extender’ directory with this version. Then you can refresh the site, and you should then have the latest version.

Now that you mention it, we don’t actually have a way to export site settings – so I’m going to get that done today as well since that is quite an important feature. We currently have a way to export forms, but not settings.

    Hi again Gella,

I’ve gone ahead and built out a settings export/import functionality alongside our optin-form export/import functionality.

I would recommend that you export both your forms and your settings (‘Easy Forms > Settings > Import/Export’) and go ahead and un-install the plugin. You can download the latest release from the following url:
    https://cloudup.com/files/iJi4v3QDCQF/download

Once downloaded, simply upload, install and activate the new version. You can then head into the settings page, ‘Easy Forms > Settings > Import/Export’ and upload both .csv files you downloaded in the previous step.

At the moment, since you don’t have an export settings tab on your current install your best option is to upload the files via FTP and overwrite the existing ones.

If you run into any issues with the import/export functionality feel free to let us know.

    Thanks,
    Evan

Hello Evan, thanks, I’ve installed the latest version, as you said via ftp. Looks like it works fine, when there’re several forms on single page πŸ™‚

Detected one small bug: if I add Interests group field to a form, after updating (=saving) this form, I can’t select another group anymore (which are radio buttons), because buttons have disappeared. I need to remove the field and add it once again to see the radio buttons.
And, unfortunately, seems like this feature to add people to specific group at signup doesn’t work πŸ™

And a wish for future updates: please add “subscribers count” shortcode to forms.
