Feedzy was working great for the first week but now almost every post gets duplicated at least once, sometimes up to 5 times. Its as if it has no record of which stories it posted already. I have to go in and manually delete dozens of posts daily.

I am not sure, but I suspect the amount of duplicate posts is related to how many stories there are vs how often it updates (few stories+ frequent posting= lots f duplications) So if there are a lot of new stories in the feed, there is less chance of it seeing and posting an old one again.

I know its not exactly the appropriate case, but I even followed your tutorial and made the plugin to remove duplicates by URL but it didn’t help.

Can you think of why it is not properly ‘remembering’ which stories it has already posted?

    Thank you!

  • Hello @fishbottle,

    Thanks for choosing Feedzy!

Could you please tell us when did this issue start to occur? Did anything change in your environment in the meantime? Please make sure you have only one import job created for each feed. If you create multiple import jobs with the same feed, the posts will appear multiple times. Also, make sure the import job has finished successfully. If this is not the case, please provide us the URL to the feed so we can check the issue on our end.

Thank you and have a nice day!

It started approximately a week ago I think. I don’t think anything changed but my WordPress and plugins are set to update so I don’t know which plugins were updated in that time.
I only have one feed and one import setup.

    Hi @fishbottle,

Please make sure to enable the option Remove Duplicates as seen on this screenshot:

Kindly share as well the link of the duplicate post/s imported on your site.

Yes, the Remove Duplicates is on (green)
I am manually deleting all the duplicate posts but let me know if it is important for troubleshooting and I can let the next batch of duplicates get published, but it looks terrible to visitors on the site so I’d rather not.

If it helps, they are like this (I replaced my site base url below)

    Thanks!

    Hi @fishbottle!

I’ve set an import job using the feed you provided and I let it run multiple times, but for me there is no duplicate post. Please try to delete the import job of this feed and set up a new import wizard for it. If this doesn’t help, you could also try to make a fresh installation of Feedzy.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Thank you Luciamarinescu.
I have now tried everything I can think of. For the last two days I disabled every single plugin except yours, I deleted and recreated the import, I disabled and reinstalled the plugin but the duplicate posts keep showing up, more than ever. I am getting multiples of every post now, sometimes each one up to 6 or 7 times. Im heartbroken but I can’t think of anything else to try.

    Hi @fishbottle!

I’m sorry to hear the issue is still occuring. Make sure you use the latest version of the plugin and please try to remove the import job one more time. Then, clear the dashboard cache and create the import job again. If this doesn’t work either, I would suggest addressing to your hosting provider, as we are not able to replicate the issue with the feed you provided, so the issue seems to be related to your instance and your environment.

    Have a nice day!
