# Multiple Default Post Categories

 * Is there a plugin, or other way that doesn’t require code changes, to have multiple
   Default Post Categories? I’ve looked at the WordPress Default Category plugin,
   but it hasn’t been updated in 2 years. Is there anything similar?

 * Since the plugin you mention is a simple one, it accomplishes one basic task 
   the author might have chosen to no add new features, and it might just work. 
   Not all plugins require constant updates.
 * If it is a simple one and it is written well, updates might not be necessary.
 * Give it a try and let other knows if you find any bug or issues with that plugin
   in the respective support forum.

 * Thanks, everyone! I went ahead and installed the WordPress Default Category plugin,
   and it seems to be working. 🙂
