Hello! I’m in need of a plugin who let’s me set the prices when adding a product in different currency and then convert that currency to RON (Romanian Leu) at the daily currency exchange rate. For example if I set a product price to 100 USD, I need the plugin to get the currency exchange rate from http://www.bnr.ro/Cursul-de-schimb-524.aspx and convert that price into 395.72 RON (at today rate)

Does anyone knows if there is such a thing?

    Thanks!

  • Hi!

You could use the Currency Converter Widget:

    https://woocommerce.com/products/currency-converter-widget/

With that extension, you can show prices in a different currency than the one you set up in your store. However, please note that payments will be made in the base currency, even if the one displayed for your customers is different. I.e: your store’s currency is USD but it’s displayed in EUR – your customers will be charged in USD even if they see EUR.

    Cheers!

    Hello!

Thanks for your reply but it doesn’t help. I need something that allows me to put prices for products in USD or EURO in the back-end and to convert that prices into RON (Romanian Leu) for the front end at the currency rate exchange from that day.

P.S. If anyone wants to develop such plugin please contact me.

    Best!

    Hi @rpetrache!

I would think that this can be achieved using one of the third party currency converter plugins like Aelia currency switcher, among others. There are other free options in WP.org that you may want to try.

We also have a WooCommerce Multicurrency plugin, which – I think, may fit your requirements; https://woocommerce.com/products/multi-currency/

If you’re looking for something specific, you may need customization help though. If you decide to go that route, we highly recommend contacting one of the services on our Customizations page (https://woocommerce.com/customizations/)
