I have a simple one field email subscription form on my blog built with MailPoet. If the reader hits enter after typing in their email, nothing appears to happen so they may hit enter a few more times before trying the subscribe button. The user then gets a confirmation email for every time they hit enter and subscribe. Hitting the subscribe key multiple times also sends multiple confirmation emails.

Nothing should happen if users hit enter anywhere but on the subscribe button and only one confirmation email should be sent in any case.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there @skijayp,

Just tried to check this for and when we hit enter outside of the subscribe form nothing happens. Can you provide a way for us to replicate this?

    Thanks!

It’s at the bottom of the sidebar on my blog at:

If you enter your email, then press enter three times, nothing will appear to happen at your end, but I will receive three subscription emails, then you will receive three confirmation emails (the part that annoys my new member.) And if you hit the subscribe button three more times despite the email box turning green, we’ll both get three more emails.

This happens in Chrome and Firefox.

    Hi there @skijayp,

Sorry about the delay. We’ve just tested this and it appears to be working correctly, here’s a screenshot; https://monosnap.com/file/t2DbBi1OiKdpX3gWI2ftIfBvvrE9QK#

Are you still experiencing the same issue?

    Thanks!
