Multiple Checkboxes for Custom Meta Query
-
Hi,
I’m trying to figure out how I could run a query using Advanced WP Query Search Filter, against a custom meta field that includes 12 separate checkboxes, one for each month of the year. I have implemented the checkboxes in the back end using Advanced Custom Fields Checkbox option as a single unit of 12 checkboxes, and call call them in the template as a single unit.
That said, whenever I set them as a set of criteria in Advanced WP Query Search Filter (using the “OR” for the bolean relationship), the search returns nothing unless I leave all of the checkboxes unchecked. All of my other parameters of the search seem to work fine, just not these on the custom meta field using checkboxes. I assume I may have to modify the back-end query in some way as perhaps checkboxes are only intended within the Advanced WP Query Search filter to be used on an individual basis and not 12 of them in the same custom meta field.
Any help would be greatly appreciated – thanks!

Hi,
I can’t tell what is happening there. Can you give me the link of the search so that I can have a better understanding of your problem?HI TC.K,
You can find my test site here:
http://staging.metropoliscreative.com:8888/ciclismo/trip-finder/
Basically, if the search returns anything, you’ll see “Example Trip 1”, “Example Trip 2” or “Example Trip 3”. I have added various “Month” selected to each of those.
I didn’t see any problem from the link. Is that your month meta key is defined as ‘field_516832493d099’?
Maybe I gonna need to access to your admin area. If you allow me to do that, you can reach me at my site http://www.9-sec.com and send your login detail to me.
HI TC.K,
I just sent you an email with the details, thank you very much!
