# Multiple Category Search

 * Hi guys!
 * Firstly, good little plugin this.
 * Secondly, I’m having certain issues with Multiple Category Search. Here is the
   shortcode that I’m using:
 * `[searchandfilter taxonomies="search,category" types=",checkbox" headings="Search,
   Select Categories"]`
 * I have Permalinks turned on. When I search for a keyword with two categories 
   ticked (so, the expectation is to pull results of that keyword in either category),
   I get a 404 and this is the URL:
 * [http://mysite.com/category/cat1+cat2/?s=keyword](http://mysite.com/category/cat1+cat2/?s=keyword)
 * Is this intended?
 * Also, after I turn Permalinks off, and I don’t get a 404, but I get a ‘nothing
   found’:
 * [http://mysite.com/?category_name=cat1+cat2&s=keyword](http://mysite.com/?category_name=cat1+cat2&s=keyword)
 * Now, I’m assuming that the article where the keyword appears in has to belong
   in both categories, rather than show all articles in each category where that
   keyword exists (i.e. it’s doing an AND rather than an OR). Is assume there is
   no way of changing this in the plugin settings?

 * Just noticed you can use an or operator within the shortcode. Resolved!
