Love how this plugin can make a Google Cal much more presentable. πŸ™‚

For the site in question, there are 3 campuses (elementary, middle and high schools) that have separate Google Calendars. Do you know of a way to merge those into a master calendar of some sort, perhaps with different color events to coincide with the 3 different levels of school-age? I have 3 separate codes for the 3 calendars… would be amazing if I could add all 3 to the PGC Settings instead of one! πŸ˜€

Thoughts? Ideas? Inspirations? Thanks in advance!

    Howdy!

To include multiple calendars, use: gcal="CalendarID,CalendarID"
Note: calendars must fall under same API access.

    Styling Multiple Calendars

As of v1.7.0, each calendar gets it’s own CSS selector: pgcal-event-# where the # is the order of the listed calendar (starting with 0). So if you have two calendars in one, you can use pgcal-event-0 to style the first, and pgcal-event-1 to style the second calendar.

Ooooo…. sounds promising! Thanks @lbell — I will see what I can come up with and report back when I have something to show (or not show) for my efforts. Thanks again!

@lbell it looks like the calendars do indeed show in one interface, but there are some events that show in triplicate (since all 3 schools might be involved). Also, there is the desire of a parent of just a high schooler that would like to see just the high school calendar. So I think we will still keep them separate now, but thank you for the info.
That said, is there a way within Pretty to show a link to Subscribe? I had to add it to the bottom of the current calendars so that parents could subscribe to the calendar of choice — example: https://www.gosquires.org/hs/calendar-of-events/ (bottom of content). Please let me know. Thanks!

Got it! Adding your own link the best way to add a subscription option.

@lbell I seem to be overlooking the protocol for having a calendar default to List view. Can you relay to me a sample of how that shortcode should look and operate in order to get the calendar in question to load in List view instead of the Month-ly calendar view? Thanks in advance!

Checking in to see if this thread got lost in the shuffle… any thoughts @lbell? And is there a way within the plugin to change the color of the “list” and “month” buttons to match the site’s colors?
