    Hello WP community,

I am facing the following dilemma. I have a small web agency for wordpress websites. I want to have a global version .com, and couple of regional versions .nl and .bg . I already own the domain names so I was just wondering if i can make a copy of my website and host it under the three different domain names:
    websamuro.com
    websamuro.nl
    websamuro.bg
Translate and adjust content manually for the respective regions. I know that plugins such as WPML and Polylang can do exactly that. But the reason why i am looking for an alternative without a plugin is because, I dont merely want to translate the websites into different languages, but i also want to adjust the content and have a language/region option where people can either manually select or get redirected to the respective version of the website based on geo-location.

So what is the best way of doing this?

    Greetings,
    Nikolay

You can certainly install a WP network and build 3 separate sites. If your sites will be limited to 3, I might be inclined to install 3 single sites to avoid the quirks of multisite.

There are a few geolocation plugins, you may need to custom code a portion to do a redirect based on the location returned. Be advised that location by IP isn’t terribly reliable. Plus you may have in English speaker in the Netherlands or a Dutch speaker in the UK, so you’d want to have a manual override anyway. Personally, I’d drop the geolocation and let users manually pick their preference. The selection can be saved in a cookie so they don’t have to keep re-selecting. Cookie after proper notification and consent of course.
