Multi-user WP Website

I have been tasked to see if WP will fill the needs of a website that will have multiple users updating various sections of the website. I am familiar with WP Roles and Capabilities. This website will not be just a Blog. It needs to have pages and links to files. I know how to do all that.

How does one assign an Author a specific page(s) so that they are the only ones that can edit it, besides Editors or Admin?
