Multi Site Theme Overwriting Each Other?

  • Hey Guys.

I’m facing an issue with theme customization overwriting each other.
    For example:

    User X is using ThemeA.
User Y is also using ThemeA.

    User X customizes ThemeA.
and the customization made my User X will also appear on User Y’s ThemeA

Is it possible for me to prevent this from happening?
I’m trying to use ThemeA for all users and allow them to customize iit without affecting others.

Your opinion and advices will be greatly appreciated.

If you;re allowing the users to edit theme files while using the same them, then YES. It will affect both users.

Do not let them edit theme files. By default, they should not be able to.

If the theme has an options page, it should only affect the blog they are on, not the other blog. If it is, the theme is the issue.

    Hey Andrea_r

    Thank you for your response.

So what are the available solutions for me.
If I like to have the same theme (flexibility3) for each user so that they can customize according to their liking but not affect others who are using it??

Theres a CSS plugin that might do that but I don’t know if it’s per site or per theme.

Per site, just like the custom css option on wordpress.com. In fact, it’s their code….

Thanks guys.. I’m go ahead and try it now.
