Multi Site creating sites. but they will not open

I have configured Multi site according to the codex. I am able to add new sites to the network. I am set up for subdomains. Meaning I have told multi site that this is the way I want my new blogs set up. And it lists the sites under my “Sites”But in clicking on the site to visit Google Chrome cannot resolve the address. And when I want to go to the dashboard I am unable to because it shows http://mysitename.com//wp-admin/network/arcadia.trinitybailbonds.comwp-admin/

I am unsure why I would not be able to immediately open the sub domain and see the site. Looks like its creating the tables for the sub sites in MySQL.

anyone have a clue?
