• My hosting provider’s MySQL server sometimes gets down. I can’t really do anything about it, except to wait until it gets back on again. I want to ask, is there a wordpress plugin that would switch to secondary server in case this happens again? Or would I have to edit wp-config.php manually over and over again everytime I see my site is out?

  • Yes there is a plugin.. but, it is a premium plugin as, you will also need a secondary server running MySQL set-up as the slave… if you have that much trouble with your host, I would simply switch hosts…
