I want to have unique child products with their own images and metadata.

As an example: qty 7 of Smasung SKU 32T4700. Each one is in a different condition and has unique images, price and internal reference number, but all still referenced by the same model. Creating model SKU as a category is not what I want to do. All products have a unique internal SKU.

A grouped product seems to get close, but the images for each child product need to be visible when selected as well as the specific metadata. I did not find any plugins that specifically support this. Is there a best recommendation to accomplish this?

Phil (@fullysupportedphil) suggested WooCommerce Additional Variation Images but I do not see that it supports the WC API and only supports a single SKU.

Using the API is important in this case.

    Thanks

    Hey @aptx !

These seems like something very specific and fairly complex. I am not familiar with any plugins or extensions that would work for all these and connect to the rest API. It may be best to hire a developer to create this feature for you. We highly recommend using developers on our Customizations Page.

Generally, these forums are meant for support with the default functionality of WooCommerce. As such, there aren’t many developers that look through these boards.

For help with writing your own custom code, I would recommend joining either

    Advanced WooCommerce Facebook group
    WooCommerce Developer Slack

You’ll likely get more replies in those places 🙂
