I manage the site for a community theatre. They do not have the funds to buy the full version of Events Calendar, but that’s what the theme came with.

When I create an event and set it for multiple days, it disappears from the “upcoming shows” feed after the first day. Thus far, I’ve ad to literally go in and change the dates every single day to get it to remain active and available for people viewing our site.

I am probably just an idiot and can’t find the right setting, but I have looked all over.

I also tried the “show all events, even old” setting and that broke my page altogether (that is a feature that is part of the Elementor editor, so it’s probably not an Events Calendar issue).

Hi there, cahartman. Thanks for reaching out to us.

Are you saying they have an older version of our The Events Calendar PRO plugin that was packaged with a theme? What version of The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO are you running?

Another question, while I’m here: I know a lot of community theatres are non-profit organizations. Is this the case for the one you’re managing the site for? If so, they might want to look into our Nonprofit Partnership Program. Here’s a URL fo more info:

No, if I had Events Calendar Pro, I would just get help through the events calendar site. The theme has the free version packaged with it. We are running version 4.6.24.1. The pro version is many times more costly than the theme itself and not in the budget.

Thanks for the info on the nonprofits. They ARE a nonprofit, but this wouldn’t help us since there’s no support offered. UNLESS, what we are trying to accomplish is only doable with the Pro version. I can’t find anything in the documentation or the forum on the site that mention the problem we’re having.

We don’t need ticketing or anything complicated. It’s working great for us, other than the fact that an event that spans multiple days just disappears from our site after the first day.

    Thanks for the help!

Ah. I just re-read your initial post and now I realize that you’re talking about a multi-day event. My apologies. I thought we were talking about a recurring event.

A multiday event should be shown as long as it is still in progress. Have you checked the times and timezone settings (for both WP and the Event itself) to make sure this is the case?

If that’s not the problem, then there could be a conflicting plugin somewhere causing issues. Here is our guide for testing for conflicts:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Hopefully you’ll be able to find out what’s going on. I’ve tested on our end and can’t seem to reproduce the issue you’re talking about, but I do know that timezones can be a little tricky sometimes.

Let me know what you find out.

Thanks for the reply. I would seriously doubt it’s a time zone issue. Our events are scheduled across 3 weeks (for example October 5th through 28th) and, without fail, the events disappears after the first day.

I will check it against conflicts with other plugins.

Oh, wow. Yes, that shouldn’t be happening. Let me know what you find out. Thanks!

@tribalmike thanks for your replies! It turns out that it was a problem with the way the developer set up the Elementor plugin to display the events. They are working on resolving it now.
