Multi Column Drop Down Menu? (6 posts)

Okay so I'm looking for a multi-column drop down nav bar menu, preferably a plugin.

It has 30 pages under one parent, so for obvious reasons I want the parent page to display of the children pages - but split into 3 columns for ease of reading and navigation.

30 pages in one column is too much!

I have looked everywhere, but I think on this case I must have overlooked the obvious as I really am struggling over something so simple!

    Thanks.

The jQuery Mega Menu Widget plugin might work for you.

That gives me a widget, not a main nav bar multi column menu, how do I change this?

    Thanks.

The only way I know to have a multi column menu is to modify your theme to use the widget, or code your own menu.

And how would I go about using the widget in the menu?

You need to modify the theme file where the menu is displayed - usually header.php. Replace the wp_nav_menu() code with code for a new sidebar area that you create following the tutorial given with jQuery Mega Menu Widget here: http://www.designchemical.com/blog/index.php/wordpress-tips/wordpress-tutorial-adding-a-widget-area-to-your-theme-files/
