MT import can’t login as imported user

Hi Johanka, the problem with using thatimport-mt.php to import to the beta version blog might be that the password is not md5 encrypted. I would suggest you wait till the new import-mt.php that supports encryption, among other things, to be included in wordpress. If you want to go ahead, what you can do is, use phpMyAdmin to access your database, go to the users table, copy the admin’s password string and paste it in the mt-user’s password field. Now you will be able to login with the mt-user’s username and the admin’s password. This is the quick and dirty solution, but it works. To be able to edit your drafts when logged in as the mt-user, you have to enable him to do so by increasing his/her user level to 1 or greater by first logging in as admin.
