I have an issue with <msnbot-13-66-139-38.search.msn.com>

I have read through a few requests, and see the common answer from developer stating “The plugin doesn’t prevent search engines from crawling normal, public pages and indexing a website.”.

I just want to be 100% still that applies when I see this:
Malicious request denied – IP blacklisted

Now, to my thinking, if Cerber is BLACKLISTING an IP, then it can in no way crawl that page – hence my query. The pages it is trying to access are real pages and are publicly accessible; so, why does the bot get blacklisted for trying to view them..?

OR – is it not really an MSNBOT, and Cerber just blocked a hacker…?

If you see “IP is blacklisted,” that means it was blacklisted manually by the website admin, and so this IP has no access to anything other than static pages in read-only mode. In your case, I recommend removing all IP addresses from the Black IP Access List.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I have looked through the settings and can see what you mean. I had recently changed the site/s configuration, and only just noticed these occurrences. Obviously early settings – I will take that IP off black. Thanks for your help.
