You’re missing a MS Word template? Maybe someone accidentally deleted it? You could create any sort of template you like and save it as a template file.
This isn’t the place to ask about WS Word issues anyway. If you have any questions about your WP site we’ll try to help you.
FWIW, importing a MS Word document into WP doesn’t always work that well IME. I recommend using the built-in WP editor to create blog posts. If you use a block-based theme you can even create your own templates within WP and use them to create new posts or pages. I don’t see any advantage at all in using MS Word to create blog posts.
Thank you for your reply. I used the MS Word template because MS Word has more editing features than the WP Editor. I asked about the disappeared Word template in the MS forum but got no answers. I could write in Word and then cut and paste into WP but in my experience I found that some editing got lost, whereas it stayed when importing via the template

That’s exactly why I dislike importing Word docs! I was unaware of the template trick. Once in a while people do send me a Word doc they want published on their WP site. I’ll have to remember to covert it to a template next time. Thanks for the tip!
Sadly, like any computer file, if it has disappeared and there is nothing in backups, it’s very likely lost for good. Files can disappear for any number of reasons, but it’s usually human error. For example, doing a bulk delete but accidentally including an important file in the selection. Don’t ask me how I know that.
Sometimes, instead of being accidentally deleted, it could have been accidentally moved. Then it does exist somewhere, but it’s nearly as bad as lost since finding it can be difficult. You’d think doing a file search would find it, but searches often fail for various reasons.
