• I have a MP3 player coded directly into the header.php file, everything seems to work and load fine. the Player though when playing the music and closing the screen on my phone, stops playing music in less I open the screen back up. This never happened when using just pure HTML5 created pages ending in .html.

Is there a background permission that needs to be allowed? is this how WordPress works when a player is playing music and you close the screen it stops the player almost as if to go into a sleep mode until the screen is re-awoken and then the player resumes?

Basically the goal is, go to the site [ redundant link removed ], hit play on the player, close screen on phone and listen to stream.

I’ve tried coding with a plugin, thought the plugins turned off maybe when closing screen. same situation.

I’ve tried coding directly within the page itself, no luck there either.

I’ve now got the code directly in the header.php file within the theme and still, same situation, player stops after a few seconds when phone screen is closed.

Any help please, about to flush wordpress down the toilet..
