Moving WP To New Host | WordPress.org

I moved all of my WP files for my blog to my desktop and now want to upload it to a new host. What’s the best way to do this especially since I need a new database at my new host. Thanks!

WordPress has two components, the database (with your posts, pages, users, categories, tags, comments, and links) and the WordPress files that are the scripts/programs, themes, plugins, and uploads/attachments.

Both need to be backed up from your server, both need to be put on your new server.

Unfortunately did not back up and download the database so what options do I have now? Can I create a new database and somehow connect it to the WP files from my old site? Thanks!
