• So my main domain is currently installed with the CMS Invision Power Services. I’ve done all backups and ready to move my the new WordPress website I’ve been designing on an extra domain I have.

So what is the best way to go about this? Should I completely clean/delete everything on the main domain?

Which main file do I want to copy from the extra domain to the main domain?

Are there any additional coding, URL or buttons I need to tick to make this a seamless operation?

Useful codex on moving site: https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

    (1) Install All-in-One WP Migration plugin on your existing site. Activate it and run it on you existing site.

    (2) Install WordPress and All-in-One WP Migration on your new server, activate it and import your old site that you downloaded into the new installation. All your posts, media files and passwords should be the same as in the original in five minutes if the site was of medium size, as 1,000 posts.

    Good luck.
