 * Hello Sir/Madam,
 * I have my site create by a web designer who has my site on his nameserver, I
   put him £1100 to designer my site and for theme chocolate. I have got my own
   nameserver so I asked him if he would give hostagator permission to transfer
   my site to my own nameserver but he is being ignoring all my request even through
   I am the only administrator for my wordpress site and I own the domain name myself
   and he doesn’t have anything to do with my site anymore. After I told him that
   I have to get my site transfer so can have my own email _[redacted]_ and my site
   will be on my own server.
 * He is now wanting my to pay him another $500 to transfer my site to my own nameserver
   when I have already paid him £1100 for the site when he didn’t finish so I had
   to get my friend to finish it for me and do the coding so that my site does not
   point at other sites.
 * My site http://mychloeharris.com i am transfer for me my wordpress site that
   is at gator1786 /home/trey/public_html/MyChloeharris.com transferred to gator956.
   But I now need to be on my own nameserver.
 * I was wondering if I do export and import would that transfer my theme which
   is on my old WordPress or is they any other way I can transfer my files.
 * Hostgator said that they cant transfer, they said “before we can transfer any
   information from the trey account on gator1786 to your account, we will need
   some form of verification from the source account. This verification can be any
   one of the following for the source account for trey:
 * The cPanel username and password
    The FTP username and password The last four
   digits of the credit card number on the account  The most recent PayPal transaction
   number The Security PIN
 * But Trey is not cooperation and even if I give the $500 I have no guarantee that
   he will give me the details to transfer my account..
 * Maybe I should contact someone for legal to ask for advise?
 * Hope some body can help Chloe,

 * Unfortunately at this point, it sounds like legal counsel might be your best
   bet.
 * Noone at wordpress.org is able to help in the matter. We have no authority, no
   link, and no physical way to do anything to help.
 * Hopefully you have some sort of contract? The only real way to work this out
   is by having your developer cooperate. If you cannot facilitate that, then a
   lawyer might be your best option.
 * I hope you are able to get this worked out!

 * Hello
 * I think you misunderstood the question, I was checking if I export my content
   from my current wordpress account and set up a new WordPress account and import
   the content, I am able to transfer my chocolate theme which I purchased in my
   old site into the new WordPress account or do I need to buy a new themes.
 * I do understand that to get my site transferred I need legal help.
 * Thank you

 * Assuming these are self-hosted sites, you can re-use your commercial theme as
   often as its license permits.

 * No – you have to install it manually on the new site.
