# Moving wordpress within domain

 * Very new user asking a (probably) very basic question:
 * I currently have my viewable website under [http://www.nickborges.org/myblog](http://www.nickborges.org/myblog).
 * How to I move everything to just [http://www.nickborges.org?](http://www.nickborges.org?)
   Typing this address just brings me to my domain host cpanel.
 * I have hostgator if that helps. Thank you in advance for any advice.

 * Assuming you installed everything in a directory named “blog”, all you have to
   do is point the domain at that directory (in cpanel) and change the urls in settings»
   general.
    I recommend reading this so you understand some of the risks involved:

   Keep in mind hardcoded absolute links and urls and those generated by some plug
   ins won’t get updated.
