Hi Cafn,
Have you followed all the instructions given on this link?:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
Moreover, using Mac Safari 8.0.2, I just went to http://mdt.pt and see lots of images. Can you point to a page, etcetera on your site where you’re having the issue please. Thanks in advance.

Hi there.
Thanks for the answer.
I followed more or less, problem is that I want put the root folder completly free, and that one, as far as I’ve seen, it remains the index.php on the root folder.
EDIT : Can’t redirect right now due to the website being online.. You can see whats happening by the image link on my first post.
Also, when I try to go to the direct link of the image, it says 404 error
When you say, “I want put the root folder completely free”, do you mean void of all files including the, at least I believe, mandatory modified copy of the index.php and the, if you want “pretty” permalinks .htaccess file? Because, to my knowledge, unless you’re willing to have an URL with a subdirectory, you must keep at the very least the index.php file in the root directory.

I have it running in a VPS, so I have access to it. My idea is to set a virtual host to it, avoiding any file on the root folder.
Hello Cafn,
I also keep my WordPress under its own virtual host. It helps me keep my server more managed.
If you are on a Linux server, here’s an easy tutorial by Digital Ocean to set it up.

I hope it helps.
~ Cheers!
