I have this WordPress blog (which is also an e-commerce with Shopp) that’s located at mysite.com/theblog/ and I need it to be at the root (or hide the fact that it’s not at the root).
I’ve read all these post and the Codex about the procedure for moving WordPress from one place to another, but even with all of this, I’m still afraid there’s something that’s going to break. And that’s what I don’t want.
So I’ve been thinking about just hiding the fact that is not at the root, using a domain redirect to mysite.com/theblog/ and then, using .htaccess, hiding the /theblog/ part in the url. Is that even realistic ?
Or maybe is there a way I’m sure that nothing’s going to be broken ? If there’s such a procedure, please tell me !
