# Moving wordpress: HTTP 500 error – Working Admin

 * Hi,
 * My website [http://www.micaelahourbeigt.com.ar](http://www.micaelahourbeigt.com.ar)
   was installed originally in a subfolder: [http://www.micaelahourbeigt.com.ar/site](http://www.micaelahourbeigt.com.ar/site).
   Working fine. I wanted to move the index to the root folder, followed the instructions
   in the codex, I’ve done it before…
    Well, this time I did SOMETHING wrong. My
   admin panel still works, I can log in and make changes, ect. But the blog.. I
   get a HTTP 500 error (under .com or .com/site… Nothing) All I can see is the 
   favicon.
 * I tried “undoing” what I did, since I could still access the admin. Didn’t work.
 * Redid the whole process. Still nothing.
 * I researched and tried the fixes in the codex, I read it could be a .htaccess
   error, tried deleting the contents of htaccess both in the root folder and in
   the subfolder. Didn’t work. Tried updating the permalinks, going back to default…
 * Ahh!!! Of course as I’d done it before I didn’t backup before I started so here
   am. I’ve re-red the instructions on giving wordpress it’s own directory a thousand
   times and I just can’t see where I went wrong, or why my admin page still works.
 * Any fixes? Can I revert my whole site to a few days back????
 * A million thanks to anyone who can help…
