Hi

I have just moved my wordpress site, but am having issues with the database.

I have
changed the changed the urls in the database from http://localhost:8888 to
http://www.educatetogethernc.com
Deleted the old database on php my admin and imported the new database

But when I go to the domain I get the ‘Welcome to the famous five minute WordPress installation process!’ page – Anyone know where I have gone wrong?

What you are doing is a Move, which is described here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_to_a_New_Server

Personally, I’ve had a lot of luck using this plugin to do all the work for me: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

To answer your question, moving WordPress involves copying the complete set of WordPress files (everything in the WordPress folder (or root)) and database to the new “location”, changing wp-config.php, changing the Site and WordPress URLs in the Settings panel, and changing all URLs in the database from old to new.

Great, thanks a million, all fixed now…Yep it was to do with the wp-config file.
