# Moving wordpress

 * Hi,
 * I want to move my wordpress like this:
 * mysite.com to mysite.com/teste
 * I have change options/general the site url to mysite.com/teste i have change 
   the login name to. I have change in wp-config.php to the new database. I also
   use a plugin to change the rest of the urls and it change all.
 * When i pass the mouse in the button or link it apears bellow in the left the 
   right link when i press it it goes to the old link mysite.com
    I look at the 
   page code and it looks right evan in ths source page looks right. So why when
   i click on the link it goes to the old link or get any error 404 ?
 * What i miss here ?

 * Yes, mysite.com to mysite.com/teste
 * I have follow that link but something end wrong.
 * So sugestions ?
 * Why when i passe the mouse in the Buttons says the right link and when i click
   it goes to the old link or get error 404 ?

 * Somewhere the new URL isn’t being defined, but the sounds of it. Did you follow
   the process in the link?

 * Yes. The problema is that i still want for now mysite.com exactly as it is. If
   i move, mysite.com will not work anymore and work only in mysite.com/teste
 * For now i want to have both sites equal and then in the near future modify the
   mysite.com.

 * I suggest you use a free or cheap host to do the testing for a while.
 * Also, I know putting teste.mysite.com is equal to [http://www.mysite.com/teste](http://www.mysite.com/teste),
   but I suggest you use a subdomain for now – because it’s easier to spot issues
   between both on a subdomain.
 * I’m also curious to know why do you need 2 versions? There are maybe other options
   to get same result.

 * To start modifying mysite.com but maintain the other so i can still show the 
   data there if director of my course need info to final validade my certificate
   in TI.
 * I have there in my server a mysite.com/exemple that Works fine but build from
   scratch 😉
 * What i dont get is why when i pass the mouse over links it shows ok and when 
   i press it end wrong :O

 * I have used Velvet Blues Update URLs Plugin to change all the links there and
   if changed everyone… but still in the end going to mysite.com only…

    1. First of all export your database then replace your siteurl value to new one
       on all database.
    2.  And import on your new database.
    3.  After import change .htaccess file url and config file if u have add new database
       with user & login backend and set permalink again
    4. .
