# Moving to SSL

 * I currently have WP 4.7 installed with a large number of posts (300k+), each
   one has two custom fields – one a image url and the other a page url.
 * The fields are set by the plugin [Advanced Custom Fields](https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-custom-fields/).
 * I am now moving the entire site to SSL and have managed to do all the stuff on
   my server very easily, however I am stuggling with the custom fields as these
   were posted on a HTTP basis.
 * Is there a quick way to set all the custom fields to HTTPS?
 * Thanks for any help!

 * Use the plugin “better search replace”. Search for [http://yoursite](http://yoursite)
   and replace with [https://yoursite](https://yoursite)
 * Quick and easy.

 * You can follow [this tuturial](http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-ssl-and-https-in-wordpress/)
   to get your WordPress website into HTTPS. Sometimes is your media (images etc.)
   mixed content. You can resolved this issue with the [following plug-in](https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/).

 * Thank you for the replies.
 * However there is one issue I failed to mention and became clear following your
   replies.
 * All of the custom field URLs do not follow a set pattern, example follows…
    - [http://12a5as1ds2.site.com/](http://12a5as1ds2.site.com/)
    - [http://s15d2s5a1d.site.com/](http://s15d2s5a1d.site.com/)

 * Why did you do that when you put data in those fields? You’re going to have to
   find a search/replace tool that supports regular expressions. Try this one instead
 * [https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/](https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/)
 * Note: I can’t help you with getting the regex set up.

 * Thanks for the link Steve.
 * I didn’t decide the data would be like that, it is supplied by a third party
   of which I have no control unfortunately.
 * UPDATE: The suggested script worked a treat – all I did was search ‘HTTP’ and
   replace with ‘HTTPS’ within the wp_postmeta table. Thanks once again!
