# Moving to different server

 * Okay, I have WordPress installed on my current site, but I am hosted by someone
   else and will soon be switching servers for my domain. My question is this:
 * I have backed up my database & files. If I put the backed-up contents of my wordpress
   database into the one on my new server, re-upload my backed up WordPress files,
   and edit the config file… will that work? Will I still need to run the install,
   and will the password still be the same?

    The password will be whatever you setup on the new server.
