• We are building a family of sites on test subdomains within multisite. Is there a way that when we make the sites live on their real domains (using domain mapping) that we won’t have to go in and manually change the internal links within posts/pages/menus to the new domain?

    Thanks.

Not really. Unless you want to locally map the domain to your local install?

The menu links will change UNLESS you use the custom links feature.

THe links inside posts and pages…. when you’re developing the sites, put in the domain name you will use when it’s mapped.

I have the same problem. The image links also point on my sub-domain when I transfer it to the proper domain too, is there possibly no easy fix for such a common problem (I think this is common procedure)

Database search and replace is about it, and you gotta be REALLY carefull with that one.

ONLY replace the domain in the wp_x_posts table for that site.
