We’ve been using the Geolocation Plus plugin for the last five years and we’d really like to move over to your plugin as it seems well maintained and of quality.

As we’ve got five years of geotagged articles using the other plugin, we’d like to bring that data across, so we don’t lose it.

Do you have any suggestions on how we could do this? Do you perhaps have a script to translate the data over to your plugin?

    Any and all advice appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
As Geolocation Plus seems to be a fork of the early version of geolocation, I would assume that it still stores the location information similarly. Did you try to install geolocation and deaktivate your Version bot activate geolocation? That way should be strait forward to seeing if it works as assumed. If that is not working, we can try to figure out a migration path if needed.

Thanks for that suggestion Yann (slightly kicking myself that I didn’t think of it first!)

It is displaying correctly on the Post, so your hunch has proven correct, however there is some strangeness in the back end.

Geolocation data appears to be in there (in Custom fields)

But the Geolocation backend widget doesn’t show the data

    Any clues?

    Unfortunately no.
