 * Maybe you should center your header elements.
    Check this [snippet](http://www.themesandco.com/snippet/center-header-block-items/)
   for solution.

 * that moves the navbar under my logo and shortens the navbar so the menu wraps.

 * [@brittkimjackson](https://wordpress.org/support/users/brittkimjackson/) you
   can set
 *     ```
       .navbar-wrapper {
           margin-top: 250px;
       }
       ```
 * to custom css for moving your navbar down.
 * I think you’ve not copied the Snippet details correctly. Your current code is
   generating a <span4><span8> so the logo is showing in the left third. The Snippet
   changes it to <span10 offset1> which would center it.
 * I have been messing around with it so when you just looked i didnt have anything
   up.
    just re did the “center header block” code and the menu is on the left as
   is the logo
 * Did you include the snippet addition to functions.php in your child theme? That
   part of the change is not showing through so it looks like that is where the
   problem lies.
