Moving location of [eshop_show_product id=’xx’]

  • Does [eshop_show_product id=’xx’] have to be used at the root of a menu?

I created a page “Online Shop” at the root of my menu and put [eshop_show_product id=’xx’] in it. I now want to move that page to a second level (daughter page) position. I tried making it a sub-page in Pages-Edit but it didn’t work. The new URL returned a “404”. I used a database backup to restore things to their previous condition.

Is there a proper way of moving it or should I just create a new page? For instance, create a new “Shop Page” as a daughter page and then put [eshop_show_product id=’xx’] in it and delete the original “Shop Page”.

  • if the page/post id xx in [eshop_show_product id=’xx’] is available you should be able to use that shortcode where-ever.
