Moving image files to a new sub-directory

  • Hi – I’ve created a new sub-directory but all of my image files are in /wp-content/uploads/ – the default directory

    Please –

    1) How do I move my files to my new sub-directory = /wp-content/header-images/ ?

    2) How do I change my default upload directory

    Thanks

  • 1) You will have to run some SQL commands on your database..
Don’t attempt that unless your capable, and I personally don’t have the time to write them in for you see: google!!

    2) You can do this in Settings > Media in wp-admin :
    /wp-admin/options-media.php

Thanks Parable. What is the easiest Google search please?

    Thanks
