Moving From Articelive To WordPress

I guess I’m just looking for pointers. I used Articelive on a site I started a couple of years ago. I have about 300 articles and probably another 100 blogs (There is a difference between the articles/blogs in Articelive).

I’m ready to switch the site over to WordPress. While I’ve done my share of work in php, my work with databases has been little more than INSERTS and SELECTs.

I’m looking for any tips, points, ideas, warnings, etc before I jump into this.
