After changing my page view so that full posts are shown on the front page, the footer for my blog is now on the sidebar. How do I move it so that it stays at the bottome of the page?

Looks like you have a bunch of mark-up errors on the page -- and the footer IS in the sidebar -- probably due to at least one extra closing div tag. So start by clearing up the errors:

The problem is that I don't know how to change the things that are wrong.

I WPyogi, I followed your link to the errors, and I cannot find a way to fix them.

I have set up this blog on my own, and am not very well-versed in CSS, but I am willing to learn in order to get these errors corrected.

    Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, there is not a quick and easy way to fix errors. You need to look at the validator results (see the line numbers) and then look at your site code to see where the error is. Errors can be in your content (i.e. you may have deleted or added tags) or from plug-ins or theme files. Did you read the linked page on validating?

    This may also be helpful:

Note that some errors are not a big deal - but missing or extra or stray or unclosed tags are generally problematic so start with those.
