Moving a website from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

    Hi, I am trying to move my website from wordpress.com to a self-hosted server. I have tried the export & import process multiple times but I keep getting a timeout error. What am I missing?.

    Your content might be too big. Try to export posts, images separately. The alternative is to set max_execution_time to a higher value in the php.ini file (I recommend the invidual export option though). I wrote an article on it when I had to [ deleted ]

    Thanks very much. Exporting and importing it separately solved the issue.
